Los Banos Police Search For Suspects After Shooting

LOS BANOS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people escaped injury after someone fired multiple rounds at them from a vehicle late Tuesday night in Los Banos, according to police.

Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to the 200 block of Seventh Street after reports of gunfire and several people running from the area, the Los Banos Police Department said.

When officers arrived, they found two victims and confirmed neither had been shot. Officers also found shell casings, bullet impacts and projectile fragments at the scene.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicates an earlier confrontation happened at a local business involving several unknown people.

A short time later, the victims were on Seventh Street when a vehicle approached and at least one person inside fired several rounds in their direction before fleeing, police said.
